Gunung Tambora adalah sebuah gunung berapi kerucut aktif yang terletak di Pulau Sumbawa, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia. Gunung ini terletak di dua kabupaten yaitu Kabupaten Dompu yang mencakup lereng bagian barat dan selatan serta Kabupaten Bima yang mencakup lereng bagian timur dan utara.
Outline Itinerary
DAY 1
JAKARTA – DENPASAR – BIMA – CALABAI (L, D)
From Jakarta, the first flight (morning) goes to Denpasar, then connects with another plane to Bima. Picked up at Bima airport then headed to Pancasila village. Rest and to eat on the go. Arrive at Pancasila village around sunset. Rest and have dinner in a tent near the forest.
DAY 2
PANCASILA – POS 4 (B, L, D)
A full day hike across the tropical forests of Tambora National Park, kwowm as one of the best tropical forests in Eastern Indonesia. Overnight at post 4 in a tent.
DAY 3
POS 4 – PUNCAK TAMBORA – PANCASILA (B, L, D)
3 o’clock in the morning starting to climb to Tambora Peak. Arrive just before sunrise. Enjoy the greatness of the Tambora caldera and then descend back to the last camp. Breakfast then go down to Pancasila village. Arriving late in the afternoon, immediately took a vehicle to Bima. Overnight at Lila Graha Hotel.
DAY 4
BIMA – DENPASAR – JAKARTA (B)
In the morning, take a walk in Bima before heading to the airport for a plane to Denpasar. Return to Jakarta from Denpasar by night flight.
