Outline Itinerary
Day 1
JAKARTA – PADANG – KERSIK TUO (L / D)
Meeting point at SoekarnoHatta Airport at 07.30, take flight at 09.05 am. Arrive in Padang at 10.45. Continue to take the minibus to KersikTuo, it takes ± 6-7 hours. Lunch on the go. Forecast arriving at KresikTuo at 5pm, resting, overnight at Homestay / Hotel.
Day 2
KRESIK TUO–PINTU RIMBA – SHELTER 3 (B / L / D)
At 7 am, after breakfast, repack etc., take a pick-up car / truck through the tea garden to PintuRimba (±45 minutes). Hiking starts from PintuRimba through forest and climbs, today target is Shelter 3 which is located at the vegetation boundary. Travel time between 7 – 8 hours, forecast to arrive at Shelter 3 around 17 pm. We rest and spend the night here
Day 3
SHELTER 3 – PUNCAK–KRESIK TUO (B / L / D)
Wake up at 03.00 simple breakfast then get ready to climb. The journey will pass through rocky and gravel tracks for ± 2 hours before finally arriving at PuncakKerinci 3085 meters above sea level, taking pictures while enjoying the natural panorama from the highest peak of Tanah Andalas, also the second
highest peak in Indonesia. At 07, return to Shelter 3 – arrive at Shelter 3 at 08.30, have breakfast first, rest and repack. At 10.00, go down to PintuRimba. Stop lunch at Shelter 1, then continue towards PintuRimba – take a pick up car to KersikTuo. Forecast at 16.00 arrive at the homestay, rest, have dinner, stay here.
Day 4
KERSIK TUO – PADANG – JAKARTA (B / L)
Early morning at 04.00 take a minibus back to Padang. Breakfast and lunch on the way. It is estimated that arriving in Padang at 1:00 p.m., stop by to buy souvenirs before going to the airport. The assumption is to return to Jakarta by plane in the afternoon – evening schedule.
